About Straight Talk Press
Straight Talk Press publishes honest books for people going through hard, ordinary, human transitions — becoming a mother, leaving a faith, healing from a childhood that wasn't okay, growing up as a quiet teen, recovering from an eating disorder, building a small homestead on the land you have.
We're an editorial team — writers and editors who have spent a long time reading what people actually say to each other when no one official is in the room. Reddit threads at 2am. Forum posts written one-handed. Verified reviews of every book on the topic. Quora answers nobody upvoted but everybody needed.
We pull all of that into one book. The one we wish somebody had handed us — and you — a long time ago.
What we don't do
- Sell coaching programs, courses, supplements, retreats, or upsells past the book.
- Use fake credentials or invented expert authors.
- Make medical, legal, financial, or therapeutic claims.
- Replace your doctor, therapist, midwife, lawyer, financial advisor, pastor, or the person who knows you best.
- Promise outcomes we can't guarantee.
What we do
- Write books in plain language by an editorial team using the byline "Straight Talk Editorial."
- Tell you what's normal, what's common, and what's worth a phone call.
- Quote the people — anonymously when needed — who came before you.
- Hand you the book and step back.
