Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Straight Talk Press ("we," "us") collects when you visit straighttalkhealth.com or buy one of our books, how we use it, and the choices you have about it.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver your book and run our business:
- Order information: your name and email address when you start or complete an order. Payment information (credit card, etc.) is collected and processed by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full payment details.
- Communication: any messages you send to hello@straighttalkhealth.com.
- Usage data: standard web logs (IP address, browser, pages visited, referring URL), analytics events, and advertising attribution data.
2. How we use information
- To deliver the book you purchased.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, download links, support replies).
- To send the marketing emails you receive after purchase. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of those emails.
- To measure which ads and which pages are working, so we can improve them.
- To comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations.
3. Third parties we share information with
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy).
- Klaviyo — email delivery (klaviyo.com/legal/privacy).
- Cloudflare — hosting and bot protection (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy).
- Meta (Facebook) — advertising and Conversions API (facebook.com/policy.php).
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, PostHog — usage analytics.
- Hyros, ClickFlare — ad attribution.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies (including the Meta Pixel and server-side Conversions API) to understand which ads bring people to our books and to make those ads better over time. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features of the site may not work as expected if you do.
5. Marketing emails
When you buy a book, we add you to our customer email list. We send transactional messages (receipt, download) and a short sequence of marketing emails. Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link in the footer. We honor unsubscribes immediately.
6. Data retention
We keep order and customer data as long as is needed to (a) deliver our service, (b) comply with tax and legal obligations (typically 7 years for tax records), and (c) defend against legal claims. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@straighttalkhealth.com.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Opt out of marketing communications.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@straighttalkhealth.com.
8. Children
Our books are intended for adult audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16. If we learn we have done so, we will delete that information.
9. International transfers
If you are located outside the country where our service providers are based, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries with different data protection laws. We use providers that offer appropriate safeguards.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
